BY ROAD From the south the best route is to stay on the M74 and M8 motorways following the Loch Lomond signs to cross the Clyde at the Erskine Bridge. Then take the A82, A818 (shown on map as B831 and B832) to Helensburgh via Loch Lomond or take the A82 and A814 to Helensburgh via Dumbarton. From the north leave the A82 three miles south of Luss by turning right onto the B832 (signed Helensburgh).
