Self Catering Thatched Cottages in the Hebrides

The Smiddy thatched cottage in South Uist is a one bedroom  cottage offering self catering in South Uist in the Hebrides offering the highest standard of accommodation.  The Cottage was built in 2008 using local stone and thatched reed.  Accommodation comprises Kitchen-Living room, Bathroom with spa-bath & separate shower.  A cot can be provided for couples with a  young child. The furniture of a very high standard; there is under-floor heating from renewable energy sources, TV, fridge freezer, washing machine/tumble dryer, dishwasher, cooker, microwave.

The Cottage is set within a scattered crofting community on South Uist - 5 minutes from glorious beaches; 4 miles from shops.  The Smiddy uses a renewable energy source - a ground source heat pump.  All your food and fresh produce can be bought locally.  If you're tired of driving, 2 bicycles are also provided for your use to give your car a rest!   Local walks and public transport time-tables are available in the cottage.
