Shegarton Farm Self Catering Cottages Loch Lomond
Shegarton Farm Cottages Loch Lomond are two catering cottages in Glen Finlas, a rural location, 5 minutes drive from Luss Village, on the west side of Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.
There are two cottages, sleeping 2 and 4 guests respectively and both are superbly equipped with everything you may need to make your holiday relaxing. The garden area has table/chairs and patio umbrellas for those guests wishing to enjoy the rural scenery. This is an ideal base to explore Central Scotland, Stirling, Glasgow, Oban and the West Highlands and Edinburgh to the east.
The farm cottages are a courtyard barn conversion within the original farm steading, built by the local laird, Sir James Colquhoun, of Clan Colquhoun of Luss in 1848. The two self-catering cottages have been attractively converted and provide a bright and extremely comfortable accommodation.
Our guests enjoy weekly breaks in the high season or short breaks (minimum 3 nights) from October through to the end of March subject to availability (but excluding Christmas and New Year weeks).
Shegarton Farm is ideally placed for Golfers, the Loch Lomond Golf Course is adjacent, and also on the doorstep is the new Carrick Golf Course and Spa. The Luss area is a great base for lots of activities, sailing, fishing, watersports, hill-walking, super boat trips around the Loch, and local Islands and a very popular cycling track which allows you to explore Loch Lomond and enjoy its beautiful scenery.
Luss Village is a delight for visitors, good eating out places, which include Lodge on the Loch,Colquhoun Arms Hotel, the Village Rest, Cameron House Hotel and Duck Bay Marina, lovely coffee shops, and the local church and Pilgrimage Centre are so beautiful and welcoming. Candle and pottery making in the centre is here to enjoy. There are super village walks for those wishing to explore this lovely area.

Both cottages are fully equipped to the highest standards and include - full size electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, washer/dryer, Iron, kettle, toaster, cafetiere, and hairdryer. Freeview Television, CD Radio Cassette recorder, DVD player. Full electric central heating. There is no extra charge for bed linen, towels or electricity. Cots and highchairs available free of charge.
The normal time for entry to the cottages is between 3pm and 6pm, however, if you anticipate arriving outside of these times, please advise in advance. Departure time is 10am to allow for preparation of the next guests.
SPECIAL NOTE - It is advised for guests to take out personal insurance in the event of having to cancel their booking. A non refundable deposit of £70 secures your weekly booking, the balance is payable 4 weeks before your arrival. In the event of cancellations, provided that notice is giving in writing 2 months before commencement of the holiday, all monies will be refunded, LESS the Deposit Booking Fee. No refunds will be given for holidays cancelled less than 2 months before the date of arrival.
