Cottages Lochgilphead ArgyllSeafield Farm Cottages, Argyll  Kirkland Lodge and Byre and Stable Cottages are in lovely locations on Loch Sween near Achnamara, surrounded by forest, fields and ancient oak woodland in an area of National Scenic Beauty.

Kirkland Lodge (sleeps 3-4 in one double and one three quarter size bed), is a detached timber lodge on one level with a woodburning stove and uninterrupted loch views. The great situation makes it our most popular holiday home. Kirkland has an enclosed woodland garden and the loch shore is 20 metres from your patio doors. Enjoy fantastic sunsets and the ever changing loch. More information about Kirkland.

Byre and Stable Cottages (each sleeps 4 plus cot) are more spacious than Kirkland and have upstairs bedrooms. The excellent conversions of the 150 year old farm steading offer comfortable, roomy accommodation with traditional charm and all mod cons. The head of the loch is 150 metres from the cottages. This is an ideal touring base for Argyll and the Isles. More information about the cottages.

NEW! Seafield Farmhouse has been our family home and a holiday destination for over 100 years and this year it is available for holiday lets during June, July and August.  Check the Availability and Prices below for more information.  It sleeps up to six in three bedrooms and there are discounts for parties of up to four using two bedrooms. A cot is available if required.  We welcome children in all of our accommodation.

This is an area with a rich archaeological and historical heritage and being slightly off the beaten track, you won't have to share it with many others. We have wildlife in abundance including otters, osprey, red squirrels, deer, seals and pine martens. In 2009, 11 European Beavers were introduced to Knapdale Forest as part of a five year trial. The nearest beavers are one mile from the cottages. There is excellent cycling and walking on empty forest roads directly from the farm.

We no longer farm but have a kitchen garden, chickens, willow grown for basketmaking, and some sheep grazing.  We have a small saw mill and a large firewood processor.  Home produce is sometimes available to buy. Baskets are available for sale in the Workshop with 10% discount for our visitors. The village of Crinan with its historic canal is nearby and so is Tayvallich, with an Inn, shop, coffee shop and nature reserve. Fly fishing permits for brown trout are available from Seafield. We are also close to Kilmartin Glen with its world famous cairns, stones and rock art and Kilmartin House Museum which as well as the museum displays, has an excellent cafe and book and craft shop.
