Station Cottages are Victorian railway cottages, built circa 1850. The cottages have been tastefully restored, to provide in a wonderful part of the world, self-catering accommodation, positioned within Scotland's first national park. Splendid, unique picturesque views of the west riverside are enjoyed from the rear of the property. With just a short 3 minute walk , along the riverside pathway, takes you straight onto the romantic breath taking shores of LOCH LOMOND. Our cottages are conveniently situated in the very heart of Balloch village, from where there are beautiful scenic views of LOCH LOMOND, the river Leven and the surrounding hills, the largest being Ben Lomond. The nearby pleasure cruises ,which leave from Balloch bridge, sail up the loch to Luss village and pass close to Inchmurrin island.
Station Cottages self-catering is an ideal base for touring and sight seeing or, just unwinding and relaxing. Conveniently positioned at the main gateway to the highlands and islands, there is for your enjoyment:- clay pigeon shooting, golfing, walking, cycling, fishing, watersports, sailing, boat hire, shopping, transport, cash point, tourist information, all within easy reach. Horse riding and pony trekking can be found just outside Balloch. There is also a choice of 10 different restaurants/hotels all within an few minutes easy walking distance. Off road parking is provided, so you can easily park your car for the night and enjoy a leisurely stroll to the nearby hotels/bars/restaurants. Alternatively if travelling on business to the West of Scotland, Station Cottages is only 25 minutes by car from Glasgow city centre, or 20 minutes by car from Glasgow airport. What ever your reason for travel, a very warm Scottish welcome awaits you at Station Cottages.

SMALL COTTTAGE: An open-plan, but'n'ben cottage with the fitted kitchen area, lounge area with sofa and matching upholstered rocking chair, TV/video combined, music system and double bed area with bedside cabinet. There is a small dressing room with small ¾ built in cabin bed (best suited for children). This room is off the open-plan room. Also off the open-plan room is the shower room and toilet.
LARGE COTTAGE: three of our bedrooms have en-suite facilities, while the fourth bedroom has a private bathroom. The rooms are tastefully decorated and furnished and have TV. For guests comfort and safety we are a non-smoking establishment. You can relax in our comfortable lounge with an open Victorian fire, or weather permitting, enjoy the Loch Lomond parkland on the west riverside of the river Leven. Pleasure cruises sail up the river into Loch Lomond.
2 COTTAGE APARTMENTS - Red Fox is 5 minutes from Station Cottages, adjacent to Loch Lomond marina. The picturesque views from the lounge are onto the marina. The cottage apartment consists of lounge, with a leather suite, modern electric fire, floor to ceiling picture window, double bedroom, fully fitted kitchen and shower/bathroom. The property has electric heating. There is also a small garden. There is an additional charge of £10.00 per week for dogs. Please ensure that your dog must be kept on the lead at all times when approaching and leaving the accommodation. Your dog must never be left in the property unattended.
