5 Star Bed and Breakfast near Lochinver
Ruddyglow Park is a small, five star, boutique country house, nestled between the foothills of Quinag and the edge of Loch Assynt in the beautiful North-West Highlands of Scotland. We offer outstanding personal service and luxurious accommodation all set against a backdrop of lovely antique furniture, original paintings and individually designed rooms. A much loved 5 acre garden, full of well established trees and shrubs, surrounds the house giving a feel of extreme privacy but also incredible space, peace and tranquillity.
The main house has a beautiful, large, double, en-suite room with a bay window and sitting area that looks out over Loch Assynt and the mountains beyond. The twin room has the same spectacular views as the master room but has a large private bathroom. Both the en-suite and the private bathroom have power showers and Jacuzzi baths, thick, fluffy bathrobes, slippers and Arran Aromatic “Pure” bathroom products. The beds are covered with beautiful 650 tread count Egyptian cotton sheets and pure Hungarian goose down duvets and pillows. For guests with allergies we also have Mulberry pure silk duvets and pillows. The beds have electric blankets and the rooms come with hairdryers, radio alarms clocks, Satellite TV’s, DVD, CD, MP3 players and tea and coffee making facilities. The rooms also have individual central heating control thermostats.
The Lodge suite is really something extra special. A log cabin set apart from the main house to offer even more privacy. Vaulted ceilings, clean lines, a fabulously huge 2-person bath, a lovely sitting area and large king-size bed make this the perfect romantic retreat. In addition to all the little extras in the main house there is also a small mini-bar and trouser press. The Lodge looks out over the garden and onto the loch and mountains to the west.
An inexpensive laundry service is available and for our sporting guests a drying room, rod room, secure gun cabinet, and freezer are also available.
Guests are free to wander around the grounds, walk or hike up any of our many mountains.
For those who would prefer a more structured holiday, we can arrange bespoke sporting packages; walking, hiking, terrific loch fishing and fantastic stalking on the Glencanisp estate.
In keeping with the settings, dinner is not a fancy picture on a plate. It's fresh, homemade, local and or home grown and virtually all organic, Maybe a bit old fashioned with puddings like Banoffee Pie, bread and butter and trifles, but very filling and ever so yummy. Our delicious venison sausages are great at breakfast and our dinners, which must be booked in advance, might include deep dived scallops, homemade soups and venison roasts. We can also provide lovely vegetarian dishes or do our very best to prepare any meal you fancy.

We are very small and exclusive and as such are more than happy to work with you to tailor your very own specific retreat to create a truly memorable escape. Choose from either the luxurious elegant master bedroom, in the main house, or for an even more private and intimate retreat why not stay in our gorgeous lodge cabin.
We use a lot of our own game or the freshest seafood, bought locally on the day, for our dinners and suppers. Dinner, which is 3 courses followed by a plate of wonderful Scottish Cheeses then coffee and chocolates served in the sitting room or, for something a little lighter, why not opt for one of our 2 course suppers. Alternatively there are some lovely local restaurants and cafés just waiting to be explored.
Accommodation in either the Rose Room or The Lodge is from £140.00 per night Bed and Breakfast.
