Melfort Village is a hamlet of self catering holiday cottages near Oban, Argyll. The 32 individual cottages have between 1 and 3 bedrooms each sleeping from 2 to 10 people max.
Situated just 16 miles from Oban the cottages nestle in the hills and oak woods at the head of Loch Melfort. This Scottish Tourist Board 4 Star award winning village offers extensive leisure facilities within its grounds and together with the wide and diverse choice of activities available locally, we are sure you will enjoy your stay. The village is set amidst some of the most outstanding scenery on the west coast of Scotland and is the ideal location for a Scottish holiday.
Cottages are available to rent all year round with the exception of two weeks in January. Every cottage has its own unique character which makes self catering holidays at Melfort Village the perfect place to relax. Set amongst stunning scenery within Scotlands famous west coast the cottages offer luxurious accommodation together with excellent on-site facilities such as swimming pool, tennis court, sauna, restaurant etc.
Inner Village, Farm and Pier Holiday Cottages - the holiday cottages within the Inner Village are named to reflect their original use and maintain most of the original features of the Victorian farm buildings, including their three foot thick walls! The comfortable furnishings and decor are in modern farmhouse style. Electric heating is supplemented by either an open fire or wood-burning stove. Each cottage has access to an area of garden ground.
Walled Garden Holiday Cottages - these cottages form a crescent-shaped Mews within the original walls of the old Estate Garden, which was designed as a suntrap over 200 years ago and was once staffed by more than 12 gardeners! The Walled Garden is situated some 700 yards from the Inner Village and enjoys views over the fields to Loch Melfort beyond. The relaxing atmosphere of these light and airy cottages is enhanced by comfortable furnishings and an open plan living/dining/kitchen area. Heating is all electric. Each holiday cottage has its own private patio overlooking the main gardens.
