Loaninghead Farm Steading offers self catering cottages in Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. An 18th century red sandstone former hunting lodge, it was at one time part of the estates of the Duke of Montrose around the time of Rob Roy McGregor the notorious outlaw. Surrounding by stunning countryside, wildlife and ancient history there is always something interesting to investigate no matter what the weather or time of year. Loaninghead is an excellent position for country activities such as hill climbing, canoeing, fishing, cycling, cruising on the lochs or watching wildlife.

We have 3 self catering accommodations which been tastefully furnished throughout; offering the utmost comfort. The kitchens have good quality crockery and cooking utensils. The bedrooms include superior bed linen, allergy free duvets and pillows. A gas barbeque is available for you to use in the warm summer evenings.

All this on the edge of Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park - the ideal centre for touring, with Glasgow and Stirling 30 mins away. Edinburgh and Perth 1 hour, Argyll and Ayrshire approx 2 hours drive away. Fishing, golf, riding and water sports, walks and cycle routes are all nearby. Local villages, friendly people, variety of shops, good pubs, good food are all near at hand. If you wish to dine out, there is plenty of choice.

We are only 20 miles from Stirling and Glasgow and close by the villages of Drymen, Balfron and Aberfoyle.
