Self Catering Cottage near Kyle of Lochalsh

Grieves Cottage in the Kyle of Lochalsh is situated on the beautiful West Coast of Scotland, on the edge of Loch Hourn at the end of the road in the small friendly village of Arnisdale. It offers an opportunity to enjoy the wonderful highland scenery, with views to the Isle of Skye and beyond. There are brilliant coastal and hill walks, with a "Munro" directly behind the village. Hill loch fishing may be available by arrangement with the estate, and there would be the opportunity to hire a boat to go sea fishing. Wildlife is abundant with a whole host of birds (golden eagles, gannets, divers and guillemots), animals (red and roe deer, dolphins and porpoises, otters and seals) in the area.

Heating and hot water are all electric and the cost is included in the price. The cottage is equipped with a pay telephone. Situated off the spacious hall, the sitting room with a stunning sea view across to the Isle of Skye and Knoydart has been recently re-furbished to the highest standards. The room has comfortable seating for 6 people with an original open fireplace and fitted carpet and a large window facing south west. The room also includes television, video and a selection of books and games There is a small double bedroom beyond. 

- The kitchen and dining area has been recently fully modernised and have stunning sea views facing south west

- The kitchen has electric cooker and microwave, dishwasher and fridge freeze, coffee machine and toaster. All kitchen accessories that you would expect at home with new crockery and cutlery

- A dining table and chairs to seat six is situated in the window

- There is an excellent utility room leading off the kitchen with washing and drying facilities, with a back door to the fenced off small "garden" round the house which is a safe area for toddlers

- The bathroom, on the ground floor, has a lovely big old- fashioned bath and a separate shower unit, which is electrically heated, and WC

- There is a warm cork floor and a heated towel rail. 1 Double Bedroom & 2 Twin Bedrooms

- One twin bedroom downstairs with comfortable beds

- One double bedroom and one twin bedroom upstairs with new linen, freshly laundered and made up for you with one bed in king-size if requested

- There is a downstairs lavatory with basin and hanging cupboard.

The cottage is often re-booked by the many visitors who come to stay each year.
