Holiday Cottages near Perth

Fingask cottages are set in the 100 acre historic gardens and woods of Fingask Castle overlooking the Firth of Tay and the hills of Fife beyond and are situated between Perth and Dundee, being only 15 minutes drive from either and about an hour's drive from Edinburgh and Glasgow. There are wonderful trees, statues, topiary, streams, views and paths along which guests are welcome to stroll through the famous grounds of the Castle which were first laid out when the ancestors of the present owner first moved to the castle in the 16th century.

The half mile long drive curves up through the wooded glen and crosses Fingask stream on a high arched stone bridge which overlooks St Peter's wishing well in the dell below. Fingask is one of Scotland's great gardens. There is an outdoor swimming pool in the grounds, which is available by arrangement. There are two indoor games rooms with full-size snooker and table tennis tables. Board games, jigsaws etc. can be found in each cottage. Dundee and Perth both provide excellent leisure centres for indoor swimming, golf courses, fishing, shooting, bill walking and riding.

BEECH TREE COTTAGE - Sleeps 7 -  Centrally heated stone cottage situated at the end of a converted stable block. Ground floor: sitting room with open fire, en-suite double bedroom, fully equipped kitchen, laundry room with downstairs WC. First floor: two twin bedrooms, child's bedroom, two bathrooms one with bath and one with shower.

SYCAMORE COTTAGE - Sleeps 4 - Small, centrally heated house forming the corner of the old stable block. Twin and double bedrooms and bathroom on first floor; sitting room with adjoining fully equipped kitchen on ground floor.

ROWAN COTTAGE - Sleeps 4 - Situated within the stone stable block this centrally heated small house has a sitting room and fully equipped kitchen on the ground floor and a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a bathroom on the first floor.

REDWOOD COTTAGE - Sleeps 7 - This centrally heated stone cottage is situated at the end of the stable block. Ground Floor: sitting/dining room with open fire, fully equipped kitchen, double bedroom, bathroom with bath and WC. First Floor: two twin bedrooms, one single bedroom, shower room with basin and WC.

SIR STUART'S HOUSE - Sleeps 10/12 - Situated on the side of the lake at Fingask.
Downstairs - Sitting/dining/kitchen open plan room with furniture and dining table for 12, an open fire, an 'Aga' type stove (and electric stove for those who don't like Agas) fully furnished with equipment for large parties, TV, Video, DVD.

Also downstairs an en-suite double bedroom (suitable for the mildly disabled), utility room, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer etc. Upstairs twin bedroom next to bathroom; 3 en-suite twin bedrooms, (shower, WC & basin) small Sitting Room with TV, couch for children, and a pull out bed.

Sir Stuart's is within yards of a lake so children must be watched at all times. The house is approached by short walk over foot bridge.
