Burnfoot House sits in an idyllic location, opposite the clubhouse and first tee of Lochwinnoch Golf Club. It is a pleasant 5 - 10 minute walk into the village of Lochwinnoch, mainly along leafy riverside. Fishing permits for river and loch are inexpensive.
The village boasts a selection of 3 pubs(dating as far back as 1809 !) and a cafe/bistro. There are several shops including gifts, local arts and crafts, art gallery and a mini supermarket to meet most everyday needs.
On nearby Castle Semple Loch, there is a watersports and outdoor activity centre, cycle hire, boat hire etc, with pleasant views from the lochside cafe and shop. There are two local RSPB bird and wildlife sanctuaries, with a variety of walks for all levels of ability. Airports at Glasgow (15 mins) and Prestwick (35 mins) are easily accessible by car or train.
