Turriff - the heart of the Farming Community. Huntly - famous for Deans Shortbread and Gateway to the Highlands. Both towns have medical and hospital care and have a good variety of shopping and eating facilities. Aberdeen City has excellent shopping facilities, plenty to do and see at the beach, various parks and gardens, museums and art galleries.

Castle Trail
Delgatie Castle is open to the public as are the National Trust of Scotland properties which include Fyvie Castle, Haddo House, Leith Hall. All with close proximity to Turriff.

Whisky Trail
Many Whisky Distilleries open to the public around the Moray and Speyside area, including the famous Glenfiddich Distillery at Dufftown.





Fishing - the Deveron River
The river Deveron rises in the Cabrach above Huntly and runs for 45 miles, entering the sea at Banff. Ideal for Brown Trout in May to August and salmon at certain times of the year. Permits available in Turriff.
Horse Riding
Very close by, we have a riding & recreation indoor centre as well as an equestrian centre. Both schools are only one mile away and give the enthusiastic horse lover an ideal opportunity to gain knowledge and practical experience from the experts.

Local Events throughout the year
Royal Deeside, Balmoral (Queen’s summer residence) - Open between April to June.
Lonach Gathering, march of scottish clans through the village followed by Highland games -last Saturday in August.
Braemar Games, Highland games, including hammer throwing and tossing the caber. Attended by the Royal Family - First Saturday in September.
